A flummie is traditional Labrador trappers' bread using a mixture of flour, salt and baking powder. Labradorimiut is a Labrador Inuit word meaning "from Labrador".
A five piece aboriginal music group based in Happy Valley - Goose Bay. Alton Best (Mud Lake) and Richard Dyson (Batteau) are original members of the group which was formed in 1978. Leander Baikie (Northwest River) officially joined in 1999 after several years of periodic performances. Eugene (Tunker) Campbell (resident of Rigolet and Mulligan) joined in 1989. Simeon Asivak (Makkovik) joined in 1999.
